Day of Caring - Residential Project Request

Important Notes:

Applicant must be the property owner or must obtain written permission from the property owner to allow minor improvements. The property owner's signature must be obtained. 

Projects are not guaranteed for acceptance for the Day of Caring.

Major structural work, such as roofing, replacing windows and/or doors, masonry work, and extensive ladder work, cannot be performed.

Projects involving mold remediation, lead-based paint removal, and large amounts of trash/debris removal will not be performed due to safety concerns for volunteers.

All work must be completed within six hours. 

Additional tasks or requests for work not included in this application cannot be made.

Agreement and Terms of Residential Project

  • I must be the property owner for work to be completed, or
  • Obtain written permission from the property owner allowing minor improvements.
  • My project is not guaranteed to be accepted for Day of Caring.
  • Day of Caring is volunteer-led, and the scope of work permissible is dependent upon the skillset of volunteers.
  • Major structural work cannot be performed, such as roofing, replacing windows and/or doors, masonry work, etc.
  • Projects involving mold remediation, lead-based paint removal, and large amounts of trash/debris removal will not be performed due to safety concerns for volunteers.
  • All requested work must be completed within six hours.
  • If my request is accepted, I may not add additional tasks or ask volunteers to perform work that is not included in this application.
  • For safety and comfort reasons, we ask that all pets be secured and away from project areas. I understand and will keep my pet(s) secured at all times during the Day of Caring.
 

Certifying Statement:

By signing and dating, I hereby certify that I have reviewed this submission in its entirety and that it is accurate. I approved the project requests as described above and agree not to request any additional or unauthorized work from volunteers that is not explicitly listed in this application. I understand that the work is being completed by volunteers and that results cannot be guaranteed.
