The 2019 Healthy Families Festival is coordinated by Family Healthcare of Hagerstown and United Way of Washington County. The Healthy Families Festival is held as part of the United Way's Annual Day of Caring.
Family Healthcare’s medical staff will provide free health screenings for adults. We will have food and cooking demonstrations, information and activities for all ages. Come out and meet your neighbors! Every child will receive a free book.
Family Healthcare of Hagerstown, various health department programs, and various Meritus Medical programs have responded. Healthy Grooves (Maryland Physician's Care) will provide food demonstrations and activities and Cora (Aetna) will also provide lots of fun games and activities. In 2018, attendees met with representatives from more than 40 organizations and agencies, such as the Washington County Health Department, Commission on Aging, Community Action Council, YMCA, Maryland Healthy Smiles, Head Start, Medication Assistance Center, Optimal Health Nutritional Counseling, and others!
