Tuesday, May 5th is #GivingTuesdayNow. It is a global day of giving and unity created as a response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. If you would like to support your United Way of Washington County during this time, make sure to mark your calendars for May 5th and support the Country Roads County Wide Food Drive. We are still working very hard to equip local organizations with the support they need to continue assisting our community. For Giving Tuesday NOW we are collecting both donations and non-perishable, shelf-stable and toiletry items to support our county wide food drive.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to rapidly change and impact individuals and families in our community. We are juggling school and work from home. We are keeping up-to-date with the news to learn how to best protect ourselves. And, we are trying our best to stay in touch with loved ones from afar. Even with all the uncertainty, one truth remains constant, our community is hurting! People are in need. Our residents are finding it more and more difficult to keep their cabinets and fridges stocked with food and basic need items. This is why we've decided to partner with the Country Roads Food Drive. As a West Virginia neighbor, a large population of our residents are in their listening range. Thanks to the West Virginia United Way Collaboration, 14 local United Ways in West Virginia, including our good friends down in the Eastern Panhandle, we will tackle hunger during COVID-19 by collecting non-perishables and toiletries to stock Washington County food pantries. A special thank you to West Virginia Radio Corporation, Kroger and Pickering Associates for sponsoring and supporting this initiative!

Tuesday, May 5th at the Valley Mall from 7am - 6pm.
We will be set up outside of Starbucks & Noodles & Co., off of Valley Mall Road and Massey Blvd.
