Every school year, over 900 Washington County school-aged children benefit from Children in Need's continual supply of clothing, hygiene items, school essentials and more. Fill the Bus is a community partnership that involves Wal-Mart of Hagerstown (both locations), Washington County Public Schools, Children in Need and United Way of Washington County, MD. Fill the bus is historically a 2-day event that aides Children In Need with the collection of school supplies and the children in our community who need and rely on our support, the most.
On Saturday August 1st we will be at the "old" Walmart on Garland Groh Blvd from 10a-6p. On Sunday August 2nd, we will be at the "new" Walmart on WalMart Drive from 10a-6p. We still need volunteers to assist with distributing lists to customers and to help us FILL THE BUS! Please contact Allison if you'd like to volunteer to help with Fill the Bus!
We will be hosting an open house for Washington Count Teachers, dates TBD at Children in Need. This is an opportunity for us to help supply our teachers with the essentials and supplies they need the most. We LOVE and appreciate our teachers!
Every year, we are asked what do you have the most need for. The list below identifies the most common and universal supplies that can be used by all students. We will also accept monetary donations to use toward the purchase of supplies in bulk.
