Community Impact Grants 2014-2015

Community Impact Funding Leads to "ROI"

Community Impact Grants 2014-2015

Each year, funding decisions are made through an extensive Community Investment process led by volunteers. Through the Community Impact and Investment process, funding decisions are made after an extensive volunteer-led review. Local nonprofit health and human service agencies participate in a competitive grant process and submit program specific funding requests. Volunteers review all funding requests, the program itself, collaborations, budget requirements and more. Then they look at community needs and specific projects identified by the Board of Directors, such as Summer Learning Loss initiative.  Volunteers spend time analyzing each program in order to make the best decision on funding. The entire process includes many man-hours that would not be possible without a strong commitment to Community Impact from our community.  Agencies receiving funding through the Community Impact process meet strict standards of accountability and are required to report quarterly on the efficiency of their programs and how they are meeting their goals. Donors are provided updates on these grant funded programs to show "ROI" including results, outcomes and impact. Final report showing ROI is in the Community Impact Grants 2014-2015 and Results report. Reporting on outcomes is not available from agencies that receive a gift that a donor directed or restricted (to a specific agency). The donor takes the responsibilty of finding out how his/her gift was used.  Please see full designation policy for more information.
