Youth United and ECAC Host Children’s Festival in University Plaza 

A free children’s festival for birth to 5 years old will be hosted on Saturday, April 23, 2015 in the University Plaza in downtown Hagerstown, MD.  This event is a celebration of children and is hosted by Youth United, an initiative of United Way of Washington County and the Early Childhood Advocacy Council (ECAC). 

Area nonprofit agencies, including Birth Through Five, Washington County Family Center, HCC Childcare Center, Head Start, Reach Out and Read, The Judy Center, Washington County Extension Office, Healthy Families, Washington County Public Schools, The HUB of USMH, and United Way will be providing activities.  The Stonewall Angus Farm Expo Truck will also be on site.
 
All activities will be available for ages 0-5 from 9 AM until 1 PM. If there is inclement weather, the event will be canceled. If inclement weather affects the activities and safety of volunteers and participants then the planning committee will make an announcement between 8 AM and 9 AM via United Way’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/unitedwaywashcounty  and website, www.unitedwaywashcounty.org.
