A UNITED WAY OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD COLLABORATION
Working with the CASH Campaign of Maryland, the FEPWC offers FREE Financial Education Classes to a broad spectrum of Washington County residents, including low-moderate income households, the unemployed and homeless, as well as those who are employed but facing financial difficulty. Each class is fun, interactive and full of information for anyone interested in learning how to plan, set financial goals, save more and spend less.
The evidence based Financial Education curriculum includes the following essential components of personal financial management:
- understanding and creating a budget
- filing tax returns
- decreasing debt
- increasing assets
- increasing credit score
- available banking products
The FEPWC currently is led by REACH of Washington County and is partnered with Lasting Change Recovery Solutions for Women (formerly The W House), and United Way of Washington County, MD.
Classes are held at various locations including the Washington County Free Library.
