United Way was awarded two grants in support of Western MD Volunteer Connect and a new initiative, Summer Lead & Learn.
The Alice Virginia and David W. Fletcher Foundation awarded $6,458 in December, 2014 and today, the Community Foundation of Washington County also granted $6,458. The combined grants, along with United Way’s support will provide an opportunity to focus on growing community-wide volunteerism and creating a youth summer program for 12-15 year olds. Read more ...
