Thanks for Giving Rally on November 20, 2014

United Way will be hosting a Thanks for Giving Rally in the Square on November 20, 2014 from 4 – 5 PM. The Rally is United Way's opportunity to thank the community for participating in the annual campaign. In addition, it serves as a reminder to those who have not yet made their gift. Many people wait to make their charitable gifts at the end of the year. In fact, more than 75% of all individual donations are made between Thanksgiving and the end of the year. United Way encourages everyone to Live United, get in the holiday spirit, and generously support their community.

 

The Rally is open to the public. Special guests include Santa, students from Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, Girls Inc., and Boy Scouts. Volunteers will be engaging guests to fill in the blanks to this sentence, “I give because….” Agencies will be asked to fill in the blanks to this sentence: “Thanks for giving because ….”
