2018-2019 Live United Awards & Campaign Celebration

We encourage you to attend! This event is open to the public, all are welcome to attend. Please join Board Chairman Tim Troxell, and Campaign Chairman B.J. Goetz, at this event. We will celebrate the end of a successful campaign, recognize the organizations and individuals who continue to give their best to the mission of United Way, and hear from guest speakers on how our efforts have impacted their lives.

MICHAEL G. CALLAS CAMPAIGN EXCELLENCE AWARD - recipient: potomac edison, a first energy company

Company that exhibits outstanding community involvement, sustained campaign excellence and promotes volunteerism. It is usually for a top campaign performer.

EMPLOYEE CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR OF THE YEAR - recipient: angela brock, columbia gas

Coordinator whose leadership and dedication to the community inspire the Live United spirit. Usually involves a creative approach that leads to an increase in campaign.

EMPLOYEE CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR ROOKIE OF THE YEAR - recipient: aaron howell, bct

Coordinator of a new campaign or who is new to the campaign and whose leadership and dedication to the community inspire the Live United spirit. Usually involves a creative approach that leads to a successful campaign.

DISTINGUISHED ACHIEVEMENT IN WCPS CAMPAIGN (traveling award) - recipient: williamsport high school

Presented to the highest achieving school in the Washington County Public Schools system.

NONPROFIT COMMUNITY PARTNER

Presented to a health and human services agency that has an outstanding campaign. This award is for agencies not currently receiving funding through a Community Impact grant.

NONPROFIT IMPACT PARTNER - recipient: family healthcare of hagerstown

Presented to a health and human services agency that has an outstanding campaign. This award is for agencies currently receiving funding through a Community Impact grant.

Jesse L. Kagle Distinguished Volunteer Service Award - Recipient: Cassandra Latimer

One volunteer is recognized who demonstrates spirit for the community and United Way by committing time and energy through volunteering with UWWC.

ROBERT T. BARNHART DAY OF CARING AWARD FOR SERVICE - RECIPIENT: DALE SWOPE

Presented to a team or individual involved with Day of Caring that goes “above and beyond”, tackling the challenge with enthusiasm.
