Day of Caring
UWWC will host the 25th annual Day of Caring on September 29, 2016. This is an event that mobilizes volunteers to work on a variety of service projects at local nonprofit organizations and homes of the elderly and/or disabled. Projects range from painting, light construction, minor repairs and cleaning as well as activities with programs at health and human service agencies. We look forward to hosting our kickoff breakfast at the Municipal Stadium prior to sending nearly 800 volunteers into Washington County, MD to work on:
- 38 projects at local nonprofit agencies
-
14 residential projects submitted
-
hosting a Health Families Festival in partnership with Family Healthcare of Hagerstown - click here for the flyer
-
hosting Book Drives and Personal Care Drives throughout the county.
